Saying Good bye
She bowed her head as the dirt was
replaced
For there
lied a very dear friend.
Her sorrow would last for many days
It seemed her heart would never
mend.
She knew in her
mind she had to move on,
But her heart just wouldn't let her.
She had known her friend would soon be
gone
When her
condition had never grown better.
She would have liked just one more
day
To spend with her
dear old friend
But
now respects she did pay
And blessings she did send.
But through all her sadness and
sorrow
There was one
good thing she knew,
She was happy to have known her friend
Because true friends for her were
few.
Eventually she
did move on
And
although she and her friend did part
A small smile curved her saddened
lips
Because a great
memory lived on in her heart.
